Longboat Key Modern Coastal Architectural Photography

This Longboat Key residence showcases modern coastal architecture defined by clean lines, expansive glass, and intentional detailing. As the architectural photographer on this project, my focus was to document specific scopes of work that are critical to the architect, builder, and fabrication/installation teams. These images were created to support marketing, portfolios, and long term brand use.

Architectural Window and Door Photography

The window and door systems are a defining feature of this residence. Large format glazing establishes a seamless indoor outdoor connection while reinforcing the home’s modern geometry. Architectural photography of windows and doors requires precise control of perspective, exposure, and timing to accurately represent scale, alignment, and performance.

These images were created to showcase craftsmanship, clean detailing, and how the glass systems interact with natural light. For architects and builders, this type of architectural photography supports marketing, project documentation, and long term portfolio development.

Front Elevation Vertical Sunshades

The front elevation features vertical sunshades that provide solar control, privacy, and visual rhythm across the façade. From a commercial architectural photography standpoint, these elements are best captured by emphasizing repetition, shadow patterns, and material consistency.

The photographs highlight how the sunshades contribute to the façade’s depth and curb appeal while remaining integrated with the overall architectural design. This type of focused imagery is valuable for the design firm, builder and fabrication teams.

Upper Roof Deck Glass Railing Photography

The upper roof deck includes a minimalist glass railing system designed to preserve views and maintain a clean architectural profile. Glass railing photography requires careful management of reflections, glare, and background distractions to ensure the system reads clearly and intentionally.

Courtyard Oasis Gates 

The courtyard gates were documented as a standalone scope of work, with an emphasis on safety, integration, and clean detailing. This facet of the case study requires careful composition to clearly show functionality without distracting from the surrounding architecture.

The gates were photographed to clearly document materials, proportions, and functionality without visual distraction. These images demonstrate how the gates align with the overall design intent while remaining compliant and unobtrusive within the outdoor living spaces.
